[BTW: A few folks have written to me offline worrying whether I was exposing myself to problems blogging the ob tube thing. Despite the nonchalant writing style, I did make sure I understood the situation before actually participating. The word from the folks who had drilled it was that they were fine with anyone going down the tube. They opined that, once it became too popular, a policy would be put in place, but for the moment, it was cool.  I do appreciate the concern, though – it would really suck to get kicked off the ice!]
