We’re currently t-minus two days for Paris. The whole family is heading out for a four week tour: first to see Sylvia, my aunt in Paris, then off to Turkey for three weeks of sightseeing with Turkish friends.
Nowhere near ready to go. I’ve got a stack of clothing laid out on the futon, but that’s the extent of my preparations so far. Poor D’s got three times as much to do, packing for herself and the kids. My excuse for wanting sympathy is that she’s got all day while the kids are in summer camp, but I’ve got all day coping with the various things at work I was supposed to have done before I left – interns, project reports, meetings I’m supposed to lead, code and code reviews. Oh yes, and the servers are on fire…
But there’ll be time to sleep on the plane, eh?
