No one knows how big it’s going to be, but it’s supposed to be a long one, and they’re taking it pretty seriously. They’ve laid a rope line of flags from the Station out to Summer Camp, and the veteran Summer Campers are either heading home with a spare meal or two from the leftovers fridge, or packing in a change of clothes this morning, counting on being stranded in the Station when it hits. It’s our day off (woohoo!), but if I’m going to be stranded in a whiteout for a couple of days, I know where I’d rather be. Home sweet home be damned – I’m grabbing a change of clothes and making the hike in while the visibility’s still good.
