That’s kind a running theme of the Roadtrip Blog, and my life in general, isn’t it? Who would have guessed that I’d find myself in Miami for the third time in three months? (Miami?!?) And who would have guessed that this time it would be as an excruciatingly brief overnight layover on our way to Havana?
Yes, Havana, as in Cuba. Tomorrow morning at something like 5:30 a.m. I remembered to tell you that we were going to Cuba, didn’t I? Because there are an awful lot of things I haven’t remembered. Like my phone. And sunscreen. Fortunately, Devon took care of the more important stuff, so we have passports, clothing, cash and a reasonable assurance that our kids will dressed, fed and sent off to school in our absence. So it’s all good, right?
Anyhow. Internet’s going to be pretty intermittent, I’m sure, but I will try to post as I can from on/over the road. We’re traveling with folks from Ethical Traveler, one of the non-profits I advise, on an Arts and Culture Exchange. Or something like that. I saw the details back when we first signed on, but for the life of me, I can’t remember one word of it.
